WCS Collarum

The WCS Collarum is designed to capture canines, including the red fox, by throwing a cable loop over their head and around their neck. It is not a snare. The end of the capture loop is anchored in the ground and the canine is held like a dog on a chain. It is unique in a number of ways.It is canine-specific because of the trigger mechanism, which requires a pull action rather than the push/depress mechanism usually employed by traps. This virtually eliminates catching animals other than canines. The English approved version features a Relaxalock cable and adjustable stop to ensure a ‘friendly’ capture and comply with UK legislation. The WCS Collarum has been added to the list of approved spring traps for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
