Description

Rabbit snare stops are becoming an important part of the snare makers kit.  Under Scottish Law and UK best practice guidelines rabbit snares should be fitted with a safety stop fixed at least 5” (13cm) from the running end of the snare.

There are several methods of creating a stop but Glenn Waters, a pioneer of snaring techniques in the UK, came up with this simple tube method.   The section of tube is slid along the snare to the correct position and then simply crimped in place.  Glenn has always been keen to share his ideas for free and it’s important to say that you can make stops like these yourself from thin tube such as car brake pipe cut with a small pipe cutter.

However for those of us that don’t have the time or the aptitude Fourteenacre have a commercially produced alternative.

Discounts available for 3 or more packs.
